FamilyLock collects information you provide directly when creating an account, including your name, email address, and profile information. For location features, we collect GPS coordinates from devices where family members have granted permission. We also collect device information, app usage data, and activity logs necessary to provide parental control features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to provide, maintain, and improve FamilyLock services; to enable real-time location sharing among family members; to enforce screen time limits and app restrictions you configure; to send family chat messages between authorized family members; and to generate usage reports and analytics visible only to the account holder.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

FamilyLock is designed for families and takes children's privacy seriously. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent. All child accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Location data for child accounts is shared only with designated family members and is never sold or shared with third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers who assist in our operations (hosting, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including end-to-end encryption for family chat messages, TLS encryption for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for location data at rest, and regular security audits. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Location history is retained for 30 days by default (configurable in settings). App usage data is retained for 90 days. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting familylockpro@gmail.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; the right to data portability; and the right to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at familylockpro@gmail.com. We will respond to requests within 30 days.
